  • Partner closely with Human Resources on recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations and succession planning.
  • Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand services, strengthen existing partnerships and contribute to new business initiatives.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of supervisors, building leadership capability through regular feedback, performance coaching, succession planning and professional development.
  • Ensure operational readiness across all assigned sites.
  • Resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Monitor staffing levels and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients.
  • Conduct regular site visits.
  • Ensure contract compliance and service excellence.
  • Respond to client concerns and implement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.

Business Growth

  • Identify opportunities for new business.
  • Support contract renewals and proposal development.
  • Assist with client presentations and negotiations.
  • Promote Commissionaires' security services throughout the region.

Leadership

  • Lead employee performance, engagement and retention initiatives, creating a culture where employees feel supported, recognized and accountable.
  • Conduct workplace investigations when required.
  • Support recruitment and selection activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, accountable and customer-focused culture that emphasizes employee engagement, recognition, development and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with supervisors through regular coaching, succession planning and proactive employee engagement.

Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with: Client requirements, ISO Quality Standards, Employment Standards, PSIA, Health & Safety legislation, Collective Agreements
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Promote continuous operational excellence.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has successfully managed security operations in a multi-site environment
  • Builds strong client relationships
  • Leads through coaching, employee development and accountability
  • Makes sound operational decisions under pressure
  • Understands labour relations and unionized workplaces
  • Enjoys solving complex operational challenges
  • Thinks strategically while remaining hands-on
  • Takes ownership and drives results

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience
  • Experience managing multiple client contracts

  • Experience leading supervisors and large operational teams
  • Business development and client relationship experience
