  • Great opportunity to be a member of the growing development team with the support of a Labourer, Project Manager, Development Manager, and Site Superintendent.

Duties

Working Monday to Friday, the Construction Site Superintendent will start with a heavy focus on managing interior finishes, punch lists and occupancies. This role will lead future mid-rise, high-rise and commercial projects from excavation to closeout and must have full-cycle experience in a construction leadership role.

  • Phase Flexibility: Take immediate charge of interior completion phases (drywall, millwork, flooring, and MEP finishes) while remaining ready to lead structural, concrete, and building envelope phases on future projects.
  • Full-Cycle Oversight: Coordinate all construction stages, ensuring seamless transitions between excavation, structural framing, finishing, and occupancy.
  • Digital Management: Leverage Procore for managing daily site logs, RFIs, and submittals, and Bluebeam for real-time plan markups and drawing reviews.
  • Deficiency & Handover: Manage detailed deficiency lists, coordinate trade handovers, and lead pre-delivery inspections to ensure flawless suite handovers.
  • Trade Scheduling: Direct, schedule, and optimize workflow for structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural finish trades to prevent project delays.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and maintain zero-incident job sites.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of Construction Site Superintendent experience on mid-rise or high-rise residential builds, moving projects successfully from ground-break to final occupancy.
  • Education: Construction Management Certificate/Diploma or Trade qualification is considered an asset.
  • Finishing Expertise: Proven track record of managing high-end residential interior finishes with an exceptional eye for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on, practical expertise utilizing Procore and Bluebeam on active construction sites. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Codes & Regulations: Deep familiarity with the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
  • Certifications: Valid Ontario Working at Heights, Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness training, and First Aid/CPR.
  • Licensing & Screening: Proof of valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract. Successful completion of a criminal background check (paid for by BlueStone).
  • Adaptability: Strong leadership agility to pivot from a finishing-focused role today into a full-scale structural superintendent role tomorrow.
