About us

Birds Nest Properties is a boutique residential property management and real estate brokerage in Vancouver, Canada. We manage rental properties ranging from condos, townhomes, and detached homes in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Moody, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. We are looking for a Leasing Associate to join our close-knit team in a fun and dynamic work environment.

Job Title: Leasing Associate – Mobile & People-Facing Role

Are you energized by meeting new people, love being out and about, and thrive in a dynamic, on-the-go environment? As a Leasing Associate, you’ll spend the majority of your time on the road, visiting properties across the city, showing suites, and helping prospective tenants find their next home. This role requires flexibility, independence, and a passion for customer service—especially during evenings and weekends, when most viewings and tenant interactions take place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spend most of your day travelling between properties, conducting showings, completing inspections, and running errands as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally during in-person meetings with prospective tenants, primarily after-hours and on weekends.
  • Host property tours, highlighting key features and answering questions to help prospects find the right home.
  • Respond quickly to inquiries across multiple channels (phone, email, text), often outside of traditional business hours.
  • Process and review rental applications, verifying documents and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth approvals.
  • Conduct thorough move-in/move-out inspection and in-suite inspections.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure suites are move-in ready.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure follow-up communication with all applicants and residents.
  • Deliver excellent service to both prospective and current tenants, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture, even while working independently in the field.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or background in real estate, business, or property management is an asset.
  • Property Management License is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Comfortable with a role that is mostly mobile, involving frequent travel between multiple sites each day.
  • Willing and available to work evenings and weekends—this is when most viewings and leasing activity happens.
  • Previous experience in leasing, customer service, or real estate is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and adaptable approach.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively while juggling multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software (training provided if needed).
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable working independently outside of a traditional office setting.
