The Opportunity

Deveraux Apartment Communities is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team on a maternity leave contract (8 month term).The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for ongoing support and troubleshooting of the Yardi property management platform, including Voyager 7, RentCafe Site Manager, CRM Flex, Elevate and Client Central. The knowledge of Yardi operating procedures, common errors and troubleshooting techniques plays an integral part in this position and is required of the candidate to be considered for an interview. This role serves as the primary technical and functional expert for Yardi, ensuring system stability, data integrity, security, and alignment with business processes across accounting, operations, and reporting teams.

What you bring...

    Formal Education or Equivalent
    • High-School Diploma required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science would be considered an asset.
    Years of Experience
    • 3+ years of experience supporting end users of Yardi software.
    • Understanding property management and real estate accounting concepts would be considered an asset.
    Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role
    • Intermediate knowledge of Yardi multi-property environment (Voyager 7, RentCafe Site Manager, CRM Flex, Elevate, Client Central).
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
    • Build and maintain polite and respectful rapport.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel VBA, and SQL.
    • The knowledge of HTML would be considered an asset.
    • Understanding of computer systems and applications would be considered an asset.

You will...

  • Administer, configure, and maintain property management software Yardi including system settings, workflows, permissions, and user roles.
  • Resolve Yardi support requests and troubleshoot Yardi system errors, data discrepancies, and user issues in a timely manner.
  • Configure property setups, charge codes, GL structures, and menus in Yardi.
  • Develop and maintain custom tables and reports in Yardi including data import and validation for accounting, operations, and leadership.
  • Assist team during month end processes, including renewal proposals in Yardi.
  • Integrate third-party vendors into Yardi system.
  • Create and update process documentation and training materials on Yardi procedures.
  • Train users on various Yardi functionality and best practices through training materials.
  • Coordinate Yardi upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
  • Participate in projects, upgrades, and implementations related to Yardi.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

    Performance Metrics
  • Support and issue resolution – accuracy, time to resolution.
  • Reduction in basic support tickets following training session.
  • Feedback from Accounting, Operations, and users.
