Full job description

Brian Kurtz Trucking is a Family owned and operated company in our 44th year of business. We offer the opportunity to learn on the job and you will have the ability to advance as your skill set grows. We are looking for someone who is computer savvy, with the ability to problem solve, can work and communicate effectively within a team.

DATA ENTRY CLERK

Job Description:

1. Enter order information accurately (new orders, customers, pickup and delivery locations, carriers, etc.) in Transplus freight management system.

2. Confirm rates for accuracy and any additional accessorial charges are complete.

3. Tracing of shipments and satellite communication per customers’ requests.

4. Communicate, assist and resolve problems with drivers, customers, customs brokers and other parties related to transactions that Brian Kurtz Trucking is facilitating.

5. Provide backup for satellite communication with drivers and dispatch via Omnitracs and Transplus. This includes reading incoming message from drivers and processing as necessary.

6. Assist with booking appointments

7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

No experience required, however we do look for the following:

  • Must be detail orientated and able to multi task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Typing skills of at least 45 WPM.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge in Transplus or other freight management program an asset.
  • Experience with ACE & ACI in the transportation industry and working in US Customs (CBP) & CBSA portals an asset.
