Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Store Clerk/Cashier to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, managing transactions efficiently, stock shelves, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a professional manner
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
  • Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and balancing registers at shift end
  • Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention and promote featured products
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations
  • Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked for efficient service delivery

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; technical sales experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, transaction processing, and inventory management
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently while managing time effectively in a busy environment
  • Excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to handle customer inquiries professionally
  • Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising practices, and customer service principles preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products through effective communication and product knowledge
