Full job description

Algo is a rapidly growing technology company specializing in the manufacturing and supply of audio and video communication products. Our innovative solutions are designed to make industrial communication safe, simple, and effective. We collaborate with some of the largest technology companies globally to deliver cutting-edge products to our customers.

The Role:

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead new product development initiatives for exciting new product launches at Algo. We have an ambitious roadmap and we are looking for a Product Manager to help bring this plan to life. This role is the single point of accountability for turning product ideas and strategic direction into successful product launches. The Product Manager will establish a clear product vision, define what we are building and why, and drive alignment, decisions, and progress from concept through launch. They will work closely with leadership and with Commercial, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Project Management, and Engineering teams across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, and industrial design. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who is comfortable making trade-offs, challenging assumptions, removing roadblocks, securing resources, and creating momentum across the organization. Engineering owns how the product is built, Project Management helps organize execution, and the Product Manager owns the product outcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the assigned product/portfolio swim lane and the end-to-end development of products within it, from idea and business need through definition, development, validation, launch, and early market feedback.
  • Establish the product vision and direction in partnership with leadership. Translate customer problems, market opportunities, and strategic priorities into clear product requirements that define the "what" and "why" while enabling the technical team to determine the best "how".
  • Act as the primary product point of contact across the organization. Proactively engage Commercial, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to gather input, align priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive decisions.
  • Develop clear product requirements, use cases, priorities, constraints, and acceptance criteria. Maintain clarity on scope and make deliberate decisions when requirements, cost, timing, complexity, or customer needs are in conflict.
  • Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, and industrial design teams to assess feasibility and understand technical trade-offs. Ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and balance customer value, product quality, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and technical complexity.
  • Partner with Project Managers to keep products on track against milestones, dependencies, risks, and launch commitments. Identify roadblocks early, drive issue resolution, escalate when needed, and advocate for the resources required to deliver.
  • Provide leadership throughout development. Maintain momentum, create accountability, and push decisions forward when work stalls or priorities compete. Be willing to roll up your sleeves and do what is required to move the product ahead.
  • Lead prototype and external beta activities, engage directly with users and customers, gather feedback, and determine what should change before release.
  • Be hands-on with the product throughout development. Use it, test it, challenge it, and ensure the final experience meets the intended product vision and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive cross-functional launch readiness, including product positioning, internal knowledge transfer, customer-facing enablement, documentation, operational readiness, and post-launch feedback. Ensure the organization is ready to successfully bring the product to market.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, product development, or a similar role with demonstrated ownership of products from concept through launch.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to turn ambiguous strategic direction, customer problems, and market opportunities into a clear product vision, priorities, and requirements.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence, align, challenge, and create accountability across technical and commercial teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Sufficient technical fluency across electronics, hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical design to understand trade-offs, assess implications, and engage credibly with technical teams. An engineering background is helpful but not required.
  • Strong customer and commercial orientation, with the ability to bridge market and user needs with practical technical execution.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Able to simplify complexity, foresee problems, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive decisions with incomplete information.
  • High ownership, persistence, and bias for action. Comfortable rolling up your sleeves, using the product, solving problems directly, and pushing through organizational roadblocks. Experience with Asana, Jira, or similar project management tools is an asset.
