Product Development Manager

Location: Remote with periodic travel to Kitchener, Ontario

About the Company:

KWC, a company co-owned by Ideal Warehouse Innovations is launching a new custom winter safety pool cover division and is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly organized, and hands-on leader to help build and scale this business from the ground up. About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join at the foundational stage of a new division and play a major role in shaping product development, supplier relationships, operations, dealer growth, customer experience, and long-term expansion strategy.

The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams to establish systems, support production development, manage key accounts, and help drive overall execution and growth.

In addition to launching and scaling the new division, this role will also oversee and support all existing KWC customer and dealer accounts to ensure strong communication, service, relationship management, and continued business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting all existing customer and dealer accounts
  • Helping build dealer and installer relationships
  • Supporting website and product-launch initiatives
  • Assisting with quoting systems and operational setup
  • Helping develop repair and refurbishment programs
  • Supporting ongoing product improvements and expansion opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, technically minded, resourceful, and motivated to help grow a new division within the company.
  • Technical textiles, industrial sewing, upholstery, marine products, awning systems, cover systems, pool industry products, or related manufacturing environments
  • Product development or project management experience
  • Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, and production teams
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Experience supporting customer and dealer relationships is considered a strong asset
