Wilco Contractors Northwest is hiring a Construction Surveyor. The Construction Surveyor will be involved in all aspects of construction including take-offs, site setup and calibration, construction layout, as-builts and final quantity reports. The candidate must have a can-do attitude, be motivated to learn and be willing to occasionally perform other non-survey related tasks.

Core Key Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate quantity takeoffs, reviews and reconciliations
  • Perform preliminary, construct and as-built surveys
  • Interpret design drawings and develop survey strategies
  • Accurate survey notes, sketches and data backup
  • Precise installation of stake lines and survey control
  • Distribute survey reports and manage survey data files
  • Work together with site superintendent to Complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configuring survey instruments including grade control machines
  • Perform topographic surveys to document construction progress

Requirements
  • 3+ years of survey experience
  • Solid understanding of GPS, machine control, total stations, and electronic data collection
  • Experience with CAD and Survey software is considered and asset
  • Knowledge of Trimble GPS, Total station, Trimble is considered an asset
  • Experience designing and implementing digital terrain models
  • Experience with Trimble Business Centre, TCC, Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of LIDAR considered an asset
  • Strong critical thinking, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Class 5 drivers license and a clean drivers abstract

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour
