POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Intermediate and Senior Surveyors are responsible for delivering accurate survey services on a variety of commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects throughout the Edmonton region. This role is ideal for experienced survey professionals who take pride in quality work, enjoy mentoring others, and are looking to grow with a company that values long-term careers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Surveying & Field Operations

  • Perform construction layout, topographic, and as-built surveys

  • Provide technical field support and maintain accurate field notes

  • Operate Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment

  • Ensure quality control and accuracy of survey data

Leadership & Team Support

  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior survey crew members

  • Promote a strong team environment focused on safety and performance

Client & Project Coordination

  • Maintain professional communication with clients and project managers

  • Support project execution through clear reporting and collaboration

Safety & Equipment

  • Lead by example in all HSE programs and policies

  • Complete required safety documentation and participate in audits

  • Ensure all survey equipment and vehicles are properly maintained

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3+ years of construction surveying experience

  • Proficient with Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Station equipment

  • Geomatics Technician diploma (or equivalent) is an asset

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract

  • Required certifications: CSTS 20 (or WHMIS), CSO, First Aid, H2S Alive (Ground Disturbance training considered an asset)

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and computer skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time, field-based position supporting construction projects throughout the Edmonton region. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require overtime based on project requirements.


WORK ELIGIBILITY
