LN Land Development Technologies is looking for an experienced Intermediate / Senior Surveyor to join our team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced survey professional who is confident working independently in the field, takes pride in accurate work, and enjoys being part of a team delivering high-quality survey solutions.

You'll support a variety of construction, civil, and industrial projects , using modern survey technology while working closely with project managers, field crews, and clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform a variety of construction and field surveying activities

  • Complete construction layout, staking, topographic surveys, as-builts, and quantity surveys

  • Establish, verify, and maintain survey control

  • Operate GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment

  • Interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project information

  • Complete survey calculations and collect accurate field data

  • Maintain detailed and accurate field notes, records, and survey information

  • Identify and communicate discrepancies or potential field issues before they impact construction

  • Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, clients, and field crews

  • Provide guidance and direction to Survey Assistants and junior team members

  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is used safely and effectively

  • Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements

  • Complete work independently while maintaining LN's standards for accuracy and quality

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience as a Construction Surveyor, Field Surveyor, or similar survey position

  • Strong construction layout and field surveying experience

  • Experience working on civil, construction, earthworks, or industrial projects

  • Proficiency with GPS/GNSS and robotic total station equipment

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications

  • Solid understanding of survey calculations, control, and construction tolerances

  • Ability to work independently and confidently manage field survey responsibilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong team player with the ability to provide guidance to junior field staff

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract

  • Ability to work overtime and extended hours when required

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and meet applicable client/site access requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis

ASSETS

  • Diploma or post-secondary education in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field

  • Previous experience leading or mentoring Survey Assistants

  • Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software

  • Civil 3D or related survey software experience

  • Industrial, oil and gas, mining, or heavy civil surveying experience

  • Current construction and industry safety certifications


WORK DETAILS

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Various schedules based on project requirements
Work Environment: Field-based / Construction

This is a field-based position that requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction environments. Travel to project sites may be required depending on operational needs.
