Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable full-time Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, merchandising, and customer engagement within a dynamic retail setting. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are considered valuable assets.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a friendly and professional manner
• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques
• Provide product information and conduct product demos when necessary to support customer decision-making
• Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and organization
• Support overall store operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures
• Experience with merchandising, upselling techniques, and product demonstrations is advantageous
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and the ability to engage customers positively

Pay: $37.14-$39.22 per hour
