Dog Trainer / Location Manager (Work From Home) – Calgary & Surrounding Areas

Compensation: $8,000–$16,000 per month
Job Type: Full-time, Flexible Schedule
Location: Calgary, Chestermere, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Canmore, and surrounding Alberta communities

About Us

We are a growing Calgary-based dog training company specializing in puppy training, obedience, behaviour modification, board and train programs, and private in-home lessons. Our mission is to provide exceptional training while building lasting relationships with our clients and their dogs.

We're looking for an experienced dog trainer—or someone with extensive hands-on dog experience—who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. This is more than a trainer position; it's an opportunity to build and manage your own service area with the support of an established business.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct private dog training lessons in clients' homes and your own training space.
  • Operate a board and train program from your home.
  • Develop customized training plans for puppies and adult dogs.
  • Work with obedience, behaviour modification, and problem-solving cases.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and customer service.
  • Manage your own schedule, client bookings, and daily operations.
  • Represent the company professionally while operating with a high level of independence.

The Opportunity

This role is designed for someone who wants more than just a job.

After successfully completing our apprenticeship program, you'll have the opportunity to independently manage your own territory and schedule. You'll enjoy significant autonomy while being backed by an established brand, proven systems, and ongoing support.

You'll determine the workload that fits your lifestyle by choosing how many board and train dogs and private lessons you take on.

Compensation

  • Expected earnings of $8,000 to $16,000+ per month, depending on workload.
  • Your income grows with the number of clients and board and train programs you choose to accept.
  • Flexible earning potential with no fixed cap.

Apprenticeship

Successful applicants will complete up to 220 apprenticeship hours working directly alongside the owner to learn our training methods, systems, and client experience standards before independently managing their territory.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Experienced in dog training or has extensive hands-on experience working with dogs.
  • Passionate about helping both dogs and their owners succeed.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Excellent with people and confident communicating with clients.
  • Comfortable working independently without direct supervision.
  • Professional, dependable, and accountable.
  • Interested in growing into a management and leadership position.
  • Able to safely accommodate board and train dogs in their home.

What We Offer

  • Work from home.
  • Set your own schedule.
  • Exceptional income potential.
  • Independence and autonomy.
  • Ongoing mentorship and support.
  • Opportunity to build and manage your own territory.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs and their families every day.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction explaining:

  • Your experience working with dogs.
  • Any professional dog training experience or certifications.
  • Why you're interested in building and managing your own territory.
  • What makes you a great fit for this opportunity.

We look forward to meeting passionate, driven individuals who are excited to grow with us and help expand our presence throughout Calgary and the surrounding communities.
