THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of youth development at Osler Bluff Ski Club.
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced ski professional and coach to lead and develop our junior programs, from introductory skiing through the early stages of competitive development. This person will lead a team of instructors, create engaging and progressive programming, and build a clear pathway for young skiers to develop strong technical foundations, confidence and a lifelong love of skiing.
The successful candidate will bring strong CSIA credentials, excellent skiing and coaching experience, energy, initiative and a passion for developing young people. They will be highly visible within the Club and build strong relationships with athletes, parents, instructors, management and members.
This is more than a coaching position. We are looking for someone with the vision and drive to grow our junior programming, identify new opportunities, develop our instructors and help Osler continue its evolution toward a four-season club and destination. The ideal candidate will be curious, solutions oriented, entrepreneurial and willing to challenge the status quo while respecting the culture and traditions that make Osler special. They will build the best junior skiing program that can be created through their ideas, initiative and their excitement to build something.
Strong skiing and/or snowboarding skills is a requirement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help develop opportunities that extend the junior athlete experience beyond the traditional winter season, including dryland, summer activities, camps, tennis, mountain biking and other four-season programming.
Program Leadership & Development
- Fosters a positive and welcoming environment for all employees, members and guests ensuring all interactions are respectful and professional.
- Develop and continually improve junior programming based on athlete development, member feedback and industry best practices.

- Establish consistent coaching standards across programs.
- Provide regular feedback, observation and professional development opportunities.
- Help younger instructors develop their coaching and leadership skills.
- Create a culture where instructors are positive role models and mentors, not simply ski instructors.
Athlete & Family Experience
- Create a fun, safe and challenging environment where every athlete feels successful.
- Build strong relationships with parents and communicate clearly about athlete development.
- Help athletes develop independence, accountability, resilience and confidence.
- Identify athletes who may be ready for competitive pathway and help connect them with appropriate programs.
- Ensure every child leaves the program wanting to come back!
QUALIFICATIONS
- CSIA Level 2 or higher preferred; Level 3 is an asset.
- Strong technical skiing ability with demonstration-quality skiing across varied terrain and conditions.
- Proven experience coaching or developing children ages 4-12.
- Experience developing junior ski programs or leading a coaching team.
- Strong understanding of athlete development and the transition from recreational skiing into introductory competition.
