Critical Trauma Therapy has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our team in St Catharines. The caseload will be made up of pediatric clients—experience with pediatric clients is preferred.

Critical Trauma Therapy is a growing private practice providing client-centered Social Work & Counselling services as well as Naturopathy, Psychiatry, Psychological Services, Restorative Yoga, and Dietetics.

Position Requirements:

  • Interest in working with clients who have sustained traumatic injuries
  • Opportunities for working with adult and/or pediatric populations
  • Experience with using a variety of evidence-based therapy modalitiesEMDR is an asset
  • Assess and treat clients virtually and in the community
  • Strong aptitude for report writing and attention to detail is a must
  • Develop and implement group programs and webinars
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time-management, and organizational skills

Duties:

  • Conduct assessments and interviews with clients to gather relevant information and data
  • Collect and analyze data related to clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings
  • Provide counseling and support services to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and community organizations, to coordinate services for clients
  • Monitor client progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Professional liability insurance
