About Bosco Pool & Spa

Bosco Pool & Spa is a trusted local retailer specializing in pool maintenance, hot tubs, saunas, and BBQs. We pride ourselves on providing expert repair, service and advice, quality products, and outstanding customer service to homeowners across Stratford and surrounding communities .

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and sales-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team for the upcoming season.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, helping customers, and learning about pool and spa products. You’ll be a key part of the in-store experience—from water testing to product recommendations and sales.

Part-time hours range from approximately 20–30 hours per week. Retail employee hours are scheduled within our store hours which are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:30 and Saturdays 9:00 to 3:00 pm. shifts required on a rotating basis. This is a seasonal position running through October, with flexibility for students returning to school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Assist customers in selecting pool chemicals, hot tubs, saunas, BBQs, and accessories
  • Perform water testing, interpret results, and recommend appropriate chemicals (training provided)
  • Educate customers on product features, maintenance, and usage
  • Process sales transactions (cash, debit, credit,
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
  • Restock shelves, receive inventory,
  • Maintain and clean store, keep store displays organized and visually appealing
  • Assist with setup of retail products as needed
  • Support the team in all day-to-day store operations

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Friendly, outgoing, and sales-oriented attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable learning technical product knowledge
  • Basic computer and POS system skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs (pool chemicals, equipment, etc.)
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturdays)

Assets (not required):

  • Previous retail or sales experience
  • Experience in the pool, spa, or BBQ industry
  • Mechanical or hands-on product knowledge
