Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling high-quality sushi rolls that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. Your expertise in food preparation, knife skills, and food safety will ensure each dish is crafted with precision and care. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi rolls according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Select fresh ingredients and handle food with care to preserve quality and flavor
  • Assist in menu planning by suggesting new roll ideas and ingredient combinations
  • Monitor inventory levels of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients, notifying management when supplies need replenishing
  • Follow proper food handling procedures during preparation, storage, and serving to prevent cross-contamination
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation

Skills

  • Extensive experience in food preparation, especially in sushi or Asian cuisine environments
  • Strong knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and rolling techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
