Full job description

We are looking for a dedicated, high-energy Salesperson to represent our brand at various farmers' markets. This role is a hybrid of logistics, physical setup, and proactive sales. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a market day—from setting up the booth to engaging customers and closing out the day with detailed inventory and cleaning.

Core Responsibilities

1. Logistics and Load-In

  • Arrive punctually at the market to begin the "Load-In" process.

2. Setup

  • Lead the assembly of the booth, which includes carefully lifting and anchoring the tent with weights.
  • Organize an attractive display using tablecloths, baskets, and risers to create an inviting professional appearance.
  • Hang branding banners and ensure menus/pricing are clearly visible to customers.

3. Sales and Customer Service

  • Act as the primary "Salesperson," greeting every customer with a smile and staying approachable at all times.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge to answer questions confidently and engage in storytelling about our offerings.
  • Proactively up-sell products, such as suggesting a lemonade with every transaction or offering "bundle of 3" samosa snack packs.
  • Maintain a professional presence: do not sit, eat, or use a mobile phone in the presence of customers.

4. Operations and Maintenance

  • Keep the booth area tidy, free of clutter, and clear of debris throughout the day.
  • Manage waste and recyclables according to market standards.
  • Process payments accurately using the device and manage the cash pouch.

5. Pack-Up

  • Initiate pack-up 30 minutes before closing, encouraging last-minute sales.
  • Label and pack unsold products carefully to ensure freshness and document items returning to storage.
  • Load the vehicle strategically, placing heavier items first for stability.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and set up heavy/fragile equipment, including tents and tables.
  • Sales Mindset: A natural ability to engage strangers and a focus on hitting sales goals through up-selling.
  • Communication: Ability to provide feedback to management and communicate respectfully with the market team.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Discounted or free food
  • Flexible schedule

Licence/Certification:
