Full job description

We are recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist a male employer with ALS in all activities of daily living.

The employer enjoys reading, history, and current events.

Start Date:

  • September 1, 2026

Location:

  • Comox, BC (Near BC Ferries Little River Terminal)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Saturday: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation:

  • $30.00 an hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Personal care such as assist with dressing, oral care and toileting
  • Transfers to power chair, chair to toilet, and bed to chair

Required Qualifications:

  • Driver's License and vehicle is required (There is no transit service to the house)
  • HCA graduate or 5 years of experience
  • Familiar with ceiling lift system preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with a 40lbs friendly dog
  • Fully vaccinated preferred
  • Nonsmoker/vaper
