Advanced Cybersecurity Instructor

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Advanced Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver advanced, hands-on cybersecurity training to students preparing for professional cybersecurity roles.

The successful candidate will combine industry expertise with effective teaching practices to deliver instruction in security operations, penetration testing, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud security, incident response, threat intelligence and security architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced cybersecurity lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions.
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, assessments and capstone projects.
• Teach advanced network security, endpoint security and system hardening.
• Instruct students in ethical hacking, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Teach security monitoring, threat hunting and incident response.
• Cover digital forensics, cloud security, identity management and zero-trust architecture.
• Introduce SIEM platforms, security automation and detection engineering.
• Teach governance, risk management, security audits and compliance frameworks.
• Supervise student projects and assess practical technical competencies.
• Mentor students preparing for industry certifications.
• Maintain academic records and collaborate with academic leadership.

All offensive security activities must be conducted in authorized, isolated laboratory environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; master's degree is an asset.
• Typically five or more years of relevant professional cybersecurity experience.
• Expertise in at least one specialist area such as penetration testing, SOC operations, incident response, cloud security, digital forensics or security architecture.
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, GIAC or equivalent credentials.
• Strong practical knowledge of enterprise security tools and methodologies.
• Previous teaching, corporate training, technical mentoring or curriculum development experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management and technical troubleshooting skills.
