Position: Coding Instructor - Unity
Do you love video games, tech & robotics? Do you also like working with kids? Do you have a passion for mentorship and paving the way for future tech leaders? Then we may have the job for you!
Code Ninjas teaches kids ages 5-14 to learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. We help kids develop fundamental life skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt.
We are looking for a Code Sensei to join our team. Our senseis create a fun and safe learning environment for our ninjas. They are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas centre. As a sensei, you will oversee the day-to-day activities within our dojo and help coach and engage our students as they learn and grow.
What your day would look like.
- Game development experience with Unity
- Creating a positive and safe environment for our ninjas as you work with them and determine their individual skill sets
- Interacting with parents and providing feedback after working with their kids
- Completing opening & closing centre duties daily
- Helping maintain order and cleanliness in the centre throughout the day
- Communicating with your Centre Director on student progress, the day’s activities and events in the centre
- Planning and playing STEM activities with your ninjas
- Learning the Code Ninjas curriculum (White to Black Belt) – it is important that you learn it first, so you can better teach the students.

- You have experience working with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring)
- You are comfortable interacting with parents
- You enjoy a fast-paced work environment where things can change quickly
- You are a good problem-solver, flexible and patient
- You have a desire to develop your own leadership and mentorship ability
- You have a reliable way to get to and from work
- You have experience with Minecraft, Roblox & Discord (considered an asset)
Hours: 10-20 hours/week
