Medical Receptionist

Ottawa Medical Group is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Medical Administrative Assistant to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology department. As an integral member of our administrative team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our patients while supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appointment Management: Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, ensuring accurate records and timely service.
  • Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient records with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Patient Intake Assistance: Collect and update personal and medical information to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Coordination with Medical Staff: Work closely with medical professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
  • Insurance and Billing Support: Process insurance claims, handle billing, and support other administrative tasks related to patient care.
  • Patient Communication: Answer patient inquiries, providing detailed information regarding procedures, appointments, and office policies.
  • Office Organization: Ensure the office is organized, manage office supplies, and support the overall clinic environment.

Requirements:

  • Able to communicate verbally in French and English
  • Proven experience in a medical office or administrative role a minimum of 2years.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with medical software and office tools is an asset. (PS Suites)
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and a team player who takes initiative in all aspects of the role.
