The Group Business Director is a strategic force and relationship builder at the core of Cossette’s client leadership. They guide the success of major accounts by aligning bold creative ambition with sharp business strategy and anticipating what’s next. They don’t just support client growth, they shape it—turning insight into opportunity and complexity into clarity and building partnerships that last. They bring deep expertise in marketing, an instinct for innovation, and financial precision to every challenge. A true collaborator, they work hand-in-hand with Creative and Strategy leads to deliver work that pushes boundaries, drives results, and elevating the agency’s impact.

Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $115,000- $125,000 annually, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and innovation catalyst—building bold, future-focused client partnerships. Bring a 360° view of their clients’ business to the table, guiding high-impact conversations on brand transformation, AI adoption, and long-term growth. Build resilient partnerships rooted in trust, insight, and a shared drive for results.
• Strategic Vision & Innovation: Think beyond the brief. Decode cultural trends and market shifts to turn complex challenges into bold, future-ready strategies. As a key voice in strategic planning, this role aligns teams, shapes roadmaps, and fuels brand growth with insight-led, AI-enhanced solutions.
• Financial Performance & Accountability: Run a tight operation. Own forecasting, margin health, and resource planning across the portfolio. Spot risks early, act fast, and equip the team to stay on top of scope, profitability, and performance—all while delivering standout work.
• Organic Growth & Business Development: Grow from the inside out. Proactively convert growth opportunities—expanding scopes, deepening client partnerships, unlocking new revenue. Lead high-stakes pitches that showcase Cossette and Plus Company’s full creative and strategic firepower—positioning us as a partner in transformation.
• Innovation & Strategic Leadership: Lead with an entrepreneurial lens. Identify white space, pilot new models, and outmaneuver competitors. Champion operational improvements and tech-driven solutions—especially using AI—to boost speed, precision, and impact across the work.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Build leaders. Coach with purpose, model high standards, and create space for people to grow. Drive a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability—ensuring your team evolves in step with clients, the agency, and the industry.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 8–15 years of experience in a similar leadership role within marketing, communications, or advertising.
• Proven expertise in strategic client management, financial oversight, business development, and talent coaching.
• Demonstrated success in building long-term, high-value client partnerships rooted in trust, innovation, and measurable business impact.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with a consistent track record of driving account growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Deep knowledge of marketing trends, brand strategy, industry dynamics, and emerging technologies.
• Strong collaborative mindset with experience aligning cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, high-impact work.
• Skilled at integrating AI and other advanced technologies to enhance client solutions and agency workflows.
• Understanding of ethical considerations, data privacy, and responsible AI use in marketing and business contexts.
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for developing and retaining high-performing talent.
