Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Cook at our downtown location (66 Wellington St W), where vibrant energy and passion for food come together to create memorable dining experiences. In this role, you will be an essential part of delivering high-quality meals with precision and enthusiasm. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking, and food safety will help ensure every guest receives exceptional service and delicious dishes. This is a Monday to Friday Operation with weekends off and a morning breakfast shift from 7am till 1.30/2pm.

Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and assemble a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline service
  • Support the food service team by serving dishes promptly and courteously to guests or staff
  • Maintain organization of kitchen stations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and accessible
  • Follow proper food safety protocols during meal preparation, storage, and cleaning procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a strong understanding of kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service when applicable
  • Previous experience with meal preparation, serving, or food industry roles is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
