Full job description
This is a stable, full time position role, and we are looking for someone to commit a minimum of 2 years. Very limited advancement opportunity.
Job Description
We are an event entertainment company based in Hamilton, Ontario. We provide photo booth and event entertainment services for weddings, birthday parties, corporate galas, holiday parties, school events, community events, and many other special occasions.
We are hiring a Full-Time Event Attendant / Event Operations Assistant to join our team.
No photography experience is required. Training will be provided.
This is not a typical Monday-to-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job. Most events happen during evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be comfortable working late nights, including returning to the warehouse after midnight. Some events may end around 12 a.m., 1 a.m., or occasionally 2 a.m. after teardown, travel, and equipment return.
This role is approximately:
- 90% - 100% Event Attendant / On-Site Event Operations
- 0% - 10% Backend Operations, Event Coordination, Admin & Creative Support
The exact split may vary depending on event volume, season, and operational needs.
Pay and Hours
Starting wage: $17.60/hour
After 2 months, wage increases to $19.00/hour, subject to successful completion of training/probation and satisfactory work performance.
This is a full-time position with 35 guaranteed hours per week.
Because this is an event-based role, daily hours may vary. Some workdays may be longer, such as 10–12 hours, especially on weekends or for events farther away. Other workdays may be shorter to balance the weekly schedule. It's a 5 days work per week.
You are paid from the time you arrive at our warehouse in Hamilton to pick up equipment until the time you return the equipment properly and leave the warehouse. You will be driving company vehicle to events (Regular Sedan).
Travel from your home to our warehouse, and from our warehouse back to your home, is not paid.
Schedule Requirements
You must be available to work:
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
Regular days off are expected to be Monday and Tuesday. However, if an event or operational need falls on Monday or Tuesday, a different day off may be arranged by mutual agreement.
You must be comfortable with:
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Late-night shifts
- Working past midnight
- Occasionally arriving home very late
- Working alone at client venues after training
- Event-based scheduling where some days are longer and some days are shorter
Typical event shifts may look like:
- 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Longer shifts for events farther away from Hamilton
Non-Negotiable: Must be able to commit to your shift, as we run an event based company, and most of our clients are celebrating their once-in-a-lifetime moment, and last minute drop shift will have tremendous impact for the company and also the client.
Job Overview
