Apex Medical Centre – Physician Assistant (PA) Position

Apex Medical Centre is a busy, thriving, and rapidly expanding family medicine clinic located in the desirable Beaches area of Toronto, approximately 15 minutes from downtown. We are seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our collaborative and supportive clinical team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-volume, modern family practice with a diverse patient population and strong clinical support.

Role Overview

Physician Assistants are required to meet established professional standards and must demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to practise safely and effectively.

A PA’s scope of practice is delegated by the supervising physician and is guided by the PA’s individual training, experience, and demonstrated competence. Scope of practice may evolve over time based on clinical ability and clinic needs.

Working under physician supervision, the PA will support the delivery of comprehensive primary care services, including:

Taking patient histories and performing physical examinations

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests

Supporting diagnosis and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions

Prescribing medications within a structured delegation framework

Performing selected minor procedures as appropriate

Assisting with preventive care and patient education
