Full job description

Seeking a top-of-market CMO to take the third seat at our directors' table.

You've successfully scaled marketing before and now you are seeking a new opportunity with a fast growing coaching company.

(Application instructions at the end...)

Base plus an uncapped scoreboard make up your pay packet, we're excited to bring on the best person for the role...

Are you a marketing leader with a history of scaling offers hard?

Ready for a seat with real ownership...

BUT want the foundations already in place?

WITH the usual constraints to scaling already solved?

This is what you'd be walking into...

Our Member Success team holds churn below 4% and prints testimonials daily.

Our sales team has best in class close and cash collection rates, running a sales process that gets taught at industry events, including Taki Moore, and Cole Gordon's Boardroom.

We've been at this since 2004, with 3,200+ builders through our programs.

Who we are

Hiring Video We Made:

We're a coaching and education company based in NZ, servicing members around the world. Our members are Builders and General Contractors. They are awesome to work with.

2026 is tracking to be our best year yet.

That's saying something after 22 years. And the plan is to double again.

The opportunity

Get a seat at the table with our Director of Sales and Director of Member Success. You'd own your numbers, team and execution. Your comp with be reflective of the results you achieve. You'd be the third director level talent in the business, reporting to the two founders. As a team the 5 of us run the global company and lead our teams.

What you'd take over...

Paid traffic at over $3m a year in spend, with the mandate to take it past $400,000 per month across Meta, YouTube, Google and other paid platforms.

A creative team already shipping 42 ads and 14 concepts a week. Funnels, inbound, partnerships and events, in territories covering the USA, Canada and the UK, plus Australia and New Zealand.

All of it feeds a sales team whose close rates get taught on stages, selling a high ticket coaching offer that's been converting cold traffic for years. You'll never have to defend the offer or fight for a test budget.

The founders have spent over $1.5m on training since 2004, learning from people like Russell Brunson, Frank Kern, Alen Sultanic, Cole Gordon, Taki Moore. You'll be speaking your own language in every meeting, right up to ownership level.

Plenty of marketing leaders spend years asking for the budget to show what they can do. Here, the spend is committed and climbing before you arrive, and the scoreboard pays you for what you do with it.

Who does well here

The people who make the most $$ and are happiest at The Professional Builder are good at the following...

  • Critical thinking and problem solving. When something breaks, they show up with a recommendation and a potential solution.
  • A coachable mentality. They take feedback onboard, grow, and hold themselves to high standards personally and professionally.
  • They know every career has sh!t days and that sometimes we dig in to hit milestones. They back the team around them.
  • An ambitious owner mindset. They take the lead and run things knowing that when the business wins, they win.

What you get

  • A seat at the directors' table of a 22-year-old company that's still doubling, with the pay model to match.
  • A flexible work week, meaning you can be both time and location independent, so long as key actions are completed and performance is met. Otherwise take every Friday off. Travel, family, golf, your call.
  • Your birthday off...
  • Upskilling as standard. We're in coaching programs ourselves and have spent over $1.5m on company training since 2004, including Taki Moore's Boardroom, Cole Gordon's programs and Digital Marketer.
  • Highly motivated and skilled team members. You're surrounded by people you can learn from, and you'll be expected to teach them things as well. We don't hoard intel.
  • Good work/life balance. Many of our team are into fitness, food, family and travel, with some competing in golf and tennis tournaments, ultra swims and European summer trips.

Where you'll be

We're hiring in timezones from PST through to Singapore and Bali. Our sales territories cover North America and ANZ, our team is stationed across these regions, and we'd like you to be as well.

How to apply

If this sounds like you, please apply by completing the application and answering these questions:

  • Who do you learn from?
  • What offers have you led marketing for, and at what monthly spend and revenue?
  • Walk us through one number you moved that you're still proud of. Where it started, what you changed, where it is now.
  • What size team have you run, and what did your direct reports own?
  • Have you invested in any training or personal development programs?
  • What's your go to funnel? (Quiz, webinar, VSL, book, event...)
  • What is your remote working set-up? (Computer, internet connection, quiet space etc)

We'll then send you the full role doc, the numbers behind everything above, and a link to book an interview.

We look forward to connecting.

Pay: $200,000.00-$250,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Employee assistance program
  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid time off
  • Work from home
