Occupational Therapist (Contract)

Part-Time (Flexible) | Opportunity to Grow to Full-Time

About KIN Integrated Child Health

KIN Integrated Child Health is a modern, purpose-built clinic designed to support children and families through integrated, whole-child care. We bring together occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and psychology under one collaborative model—because children’s development doesn’t happen in silos.

At KIN, we focus on how children function in real life: at home, at school, and in relationships. Our approach is both clinically rigorous and deeply relational, supporting not just skills, but confidence, regulation, and everyday participation.

We are intentionally building a team that:

  • Believes in integrated, team-based care
  • Is passionate about pediatric development and family support
  • Values clinical excellence and meaningful outcomes
  • Wants to be part of a clinic that is growing with purpose

This is a space designed for clinicians—to collaborate, to grow, and to do your best work.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a pediatric-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a contract basis, starting part-time with flexible hours and a strong pathway to full-time.

This role is ideal for an OT who:

  • Loves working with children and families
  • Wants flexibility while building a consistent caseload
  • Values collaboration with SLPs and psychologists
  • Is looking for a long-term clinical home with growth potential

What You’ll Do

You will provide both assessments and ongoing therapy, supporting children in developing the skills needed for everyday life.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional and developmental assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Provide evidence-based, play-based therapy
  • Support children across areas such as:
  • Sensory processing and regulation
  • Emotional regulation and self-regulation
  • Fine motor and visual-motor skills
  • Executive functioning
  • Daily living skills (ADLs)
  • School readiness and participation

Family & Collaboration Focus:

  • Work closely with parents to provide practical, real-world strategies
  • Collaborate with SLPs and psychologists for integrated care planning
  • Support carryover into home and school environments

Work Structure & Flexibility

  • Part-time, flexible scheduling (you build your caseload)
  • In-person and virtual service options
  • Clear opportunity to grow into a full-time caseload

What We Offer

We’ve built this role to support both clinical excellence and long-term sustainability:

  • Competitive contractor compensation
  • Strong and growing referral pipeline
  • Full administrative and billing support
  • Access to a modern, fully equipped clinic space
  • A true integrated care model (OT + SLP + Psych collaboration)
  • Autonomy in your clinical work and scheduling
  • Optional access to extended health benefits
  • Opportunity to build a full caseload without business overhead

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered and in good standing with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
  • Experience working with children strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
  • Passion for pediatric care and collaborative practice

Why KIN

KIN is not just another clinic—it’s a place where clinicians can build something meaningful.

  • You’ll work in a true team environment, not in isolation
  • You’ll be supported to focus on impact, not admin
  • You’ll grow within a clinic that is intentionally scaling and building excellence
  • You’ll help shape a model of care that actually reflects how children develop
