Full job description

COBS Bread Upper Oakville - is currently looking for people who want to pursue a career in baking. If you enjoy a fun and fast-paced environment, this would be the right fit for you. University, College or High School candidates looking for a short-term position need not apply.

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:

  • Work with other Bakers and the Production Manager to ensure the bread quality and range is to COBS Bread standards and delivered on time to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain the safety of staff and customers by upholding the COBS Bread brand and standards.
  • Be assigned an initial designated area of responsibility (Bowl, Bench, or Ovens) and will cross-functionally train and learn all three areas.
  • Assist with stock rotation.
  • Provide delightful customer service.
  • Provide support to the whole bakery team, demonstrate teamwork and foster good working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Candidates with previous experience in baking is required.
  • Candidates must have their own transportation
  • At COBS Bread Upper Oakville, baking starts at 10PM. Baking may start early based on needs and holidays.
  • Candidates must be able to lift 25kg.
  • Valid Food Safety Course and/or First Aid Training Certificate is valued but not required

  • Baking school: 1 year (required)
  • Restaurant Kitchen: 1 year (required)
  • Culinary School: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (required)
  • First Aid Certification (required)
