Home Medical Equipment Delivery Driver (full time)

Saint-Laurent, QC, Canada | req29312

You will be responsible for delivering and picking up medical products and oxygen therapy equipment, including respiratory equipment, to and from clients’ homes.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You’ll handle deliveries, setups, and pickups of home medical and oxygen equipment on your assigned route. You’ll always aim to be prompt, courteous, and professional.
  • You’ll be responsible for your vehicle. This includes coordinating maintenance when needed.
  • You’ll safely load and unload medical and oxygen equipment. Attention to detail is important here.
  • Safety is a big focus. You’ll follow strict standards and report any hazards you notice at delivery sites.
  • There is some paperwork involved. This includes TDG, vehicle inspections, and hours-of-service logs.
  • You’ll check equipment during visits. You’ll flag anything that may need repair.
  • You’ll explain how the equipment works to clients. You’ll also provide the required documentation.
  • If equipment isn’t working properly, you’ll do basic troubleshooting on-site.
  • You’ll keep your work areas and vehicle clean and organized.
  • You’ll complete daily inventory tasks.
  • You’ll also take part in an on-call rotation. This means being available for after-hours emergencies.

What makes you great*

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle you’ll be operating. You’ve had it for at least 24 months and have a clean driving record.
  • You have at least 12 months of driving experience within the last 2 years. This should be with vehicles similar in size and type to what you’ll be driving in this role.
  • You also bring at least one year of experience working in a customer service environment.
  • This role is physical. You’re able to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • You’ll need to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. This means you’ve completed a full series approved by the World Health Organization, and your final dose was received at least 14 days prior.
