Position Title

Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada
Type: Remote/Hybrid, Full-Time

About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing leader in soil health and agricultural inputs, focused on delivering innovative, science-backed solutions that improve crop performance and long-term soil productivity.

With a strong presence in the biologicals space, they are expanding across Western Canada and offer a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact sales team in a fast-evolving segment of agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Territory Sales Managers and independent representatives across Western Canada.
  • Establish clear performance goals, KPIs, and accountability standards while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.

Regional Business Development:

  • Develop and execute regional strategies to grow market share across biologicals, and soil amendment solutions.
  • Identify new opportunities across key crop segments and expand relationships with retailers, distributors, agronomists, and growers.

Channel & Customer Management:

  • Strengthen partnerships with major retail chains, independent dealers, and distribution networks.
  • Support the team in closing strategic accounts while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Technical Market Support:

  • Collaborate with agronomy and product teams to position solutions effectively and translate technical value into commercial outcomes.
  • Support field trials, demonstrations, and ROI-driven selling initiatives to drive product adoption.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

  • Develop regional business plans, forecasts, and sales reports to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitive activity, and pricing strategies to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of agricultural sales experience within crop inputs, soil health, biologicals, or related sectors.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing sales teams or regional territories.
  • Strong understanding of Western Canadian cropping systems, including cereals, canola, pulses, corn, and specialty crops.
  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Science, or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working within retail and distribution channels across Western Canada.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, forecasting tools, and Microsoft Office.

Key Competencies:

  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive regional revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance leadership and hands-on sales execution.
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, from growers to executive-level partners.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
