Full job description

Mentor College was founded in 1982 to provide a program of education based on proven methods of teaching. Since then, the school has earned a reputation for solid academic performance. Mentor College is hiring for the following position for the 2026/2027 school year:

Music Teacher (Grades 7 & 8)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepares lesson plans following ministry curriculum guidelines and delivers program focused on woodwinds and brass, music theory, and music history

· Works collaboratively with subject specific and homeroom teachers

· Assesses students’ progress and provides feedback in a timely manner

· Establishes clear expectations and creates a caring and effective teaching and learning environment

· Communicates regularly with students and parents about student progress

· Contributes to the arts community within the school

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Education or a degree in Music

· OCT certification preferred

· Band experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $57,500.00 per year
