Music Instructor – Piano, Violin, Guitar & Voice

Vancouver Conservatory of Music Coquitlam, British Columbia

Join Our Team

Vancouver Conservatory of Music is a growing and highly respected music school dedicated to providing exceptional music education to students of all ages and skill levels.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified Piano, Violin, Guitar, and Voice Instructors to join our teaching team.

Position Details

  • Independent Contractor
  • Starting at $34.00 per hour
  • Part-time position
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Teach children, teens, and adults
  • Friendly, supportive, and professional work environment
  • Opportunity to build a long-term student roster

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Music, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience
  • Previous private or group teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for music education and student development
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Experience with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Teach weekly one-on-one music lessons
  • Develop engaging and individualized lesson plans
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, festivals, and RCM examinations
  • Monitor student progress and communicate professionally with parents and the administration
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and inspiring learning environment
