Behaviour Technician (Instructor Therapist)

We are recruiting for:

  • We are currently hiring for the following positions:
  • 1–2 Full-Time Behaviour Technician positions (37.5 hours per week, including a comprehensive benefits package, paid vacation, and sick time)

About Looking Ahead Clinical Services

Looking Ahead Clinical Services, Inc. is a private provider of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services across the lifespan. Using the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis we ensure each person is learning to their fullest potential, how they want to learn, and with evidence-based techniques that are always overseen by certified clinicians. We offer in home, community, centre-based, and online ABA services in London, Ontario and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst, Behaviour Technicians will:

  • Implement individual and group ABA assessments and therapy services in-home and in the community
  • Deliver ABA programming outlined by Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Director
  • Collect, graph, and analyse data for progress monitoring
  • Prepare therapy materials for client sessions
  • Communicate daily intervention strategies with the family
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Two-year college diploma or completion of a university degree in a related field; Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Autism & Behavioural Science considered an asset

Minimum Experience

  • Previous work experience with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities and behaviour challenges

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook systems)
  • Strong ability to think on the spot and respond to the needs of the client.
  • Ability to run discrete trial training and natural environment training
  • Must be dependable, organized, and have flexible availability
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

Other Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months)
  • Must have a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel;
  • Must have $2M automobile insurance coverage
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
