ISOLOGIC Innovative Radiopharmaceuticals offers you an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Laboratory Technologist for a temporary 2 year replacement of a maternity leave! ISOLOGIC is a national company dedicated to nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceutical production. Our mission is to assist physicians by providing the most relevant radiopharmaceutical products for PET and SPECT in a safe and reliable manner, thereby contributing to saving lives.

Your role with us: As a Laboratory Technologist, you will play an essential role in following company standard operating procedures to prepare, distribute, package and fulfill customer orders at our Ottawa site.

Main responsibilities:

  • Sets up, prepares, and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Handles and packages radiopharmaceuticals and hazardous materials in compliance with Company policies, corporate standards and Health and Safety rules.
  • Processes returned medical waste and maintains returned reusable supplies in compliance with all regulations and Company policies.
  • Performs quality control tests on equipment and prepared products.
  • Performs leukocyte labeling procedures.
  • Follows aseptic garbing, personnel hygiene, and aseptic control procedure at all times while working in restricted area.
  • Completes all required Quality & Compliance training within the define deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or current enrollment in an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program, an asset.
  • Experience in handling radioactive materials, an asset.
  • Experience in the preparation, dispensing, shipping and receipt of radiopharmaceuticals, an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to accommodate shift changes based on business needs, including night shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective communication.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks under severe time constraints and performs under pressure.
  • Excellent cross-functional problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
