Full job description

Position Summary

The House Supervisor – Grandview provides leadership and operational oversight to our Grandview residence. The role ensures that client needs are consistently met at the locations, affording residents a safe environment that fosters well-being and independence. The House Supervisor directly supervises the Team Lead at each location and holds overall accountability for compliance, staffing, client programming, and quality of care

Core Competencies

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a diploma with equivalent experience
  • Five years of progressive supervisory experience, preferably in a residential or complex care support setting
  • Advanced training in Autism and / or Behaviour analysis
  • Five years of experience as a support worker, including complex case experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site teams and manage operations across more than one location
  • Proficiency in creating, modifying, and monitoring individual support and behaviour plans
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and experience coordinating staffing schedules across multiple sites
  • Proven ability to facilitate training, including Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
  • Strong skills in employee relations, performance management, and progressive discipline

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensures the residence meets all applicable government regulations and Department of Community Services licensing requirements
  • Ensures ILNS protocols, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct are communicated and consistently
  • Maintains accurate administration records and ensures all paperwork is completed and reported on in a timely manner
  • Prepares documentation and coordinates requirements for licensing reviews and audits

Client Care & Programming

  • Oversees the development, communication, and implementation of behaviour and support plans for residents at Grandview
  • Leads training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, core competency training, and other programming for staff
  • Coordinates access to professional healthcare services and specialists for all people supported
  • Maintains positive, proactive relationships with residents’ families, providing regular updates and quarterly reports on health, financial, and behavioural matters
  • Advocates for the needs of people supported with families, healthcare providers, community institutions, and the organization
  • Manages and reconciles client support accounts, ensuring expenses are appropriate and accurate
  • Oversees budgeting of client support accounts to meet programming requirements at each site

Payroll Administration

  • Reviews and approves payroll entries for RRW staff at all locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with allotted hours and entitlements
  • Monitors employee hours to ensure they do not exceed maximum allotments
  • Tracks and records vacation time, overtime, and other time-off entries
  • Escalates payroll discrepancies or concerns to the House Supervisor in a timely manner

Residential & Facility Management

  • Oversees medical supply and personal care inventory
  • Manages residents’ medical care passports and coordinates medical appointments
  • Liaises with health practitioners regarding residents’ ongoing medical needs
  • Facilitates required maintenance at each residence, including work orders, equipment requests, and repair coordination

People Leadership & Staff Management

  • Directly supervises the staff at Grandview
  • Provides coaching, mentorship, and direction to Team Leads to ensure consistent service delivery at each site
  • Reviews and approves payroll entries submitted by staff; ensures accuracy and compliance with allotted hours
  • Reviews and approves staff schedules prepared by Team Leads, ensuring best fit for programming, client needs, and staff wellness
  • Leads regular cross-site team meetings to ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed
  • Supports recruitment of staff, including interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding
  • Manages probationary reviews and provides evaluative feedback for staff
  • Manages employee performance through a progressive discipline model, with support from the Senior Manager
  • Manages vacation allotments and time-off requests for staff

General

  • Performs all duties in compliance with ILNS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct
  • Provides direct support and care to residents as required
  • Other duties as required

Pay: $60,000.00-$64,000.00 per year
