Position Overview

The Retail Floor Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the retail showroom, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and a collaborative team environment. This role combines leadership, coaching, sales, merchandising, and operational responsibilities while working closely with management to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As the Retail Floor Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead by example and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the retail showroom.
  • Coach, mentor, and support retail staff to achieve individual and team success.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, well-merchandised, and fully stocked.
  • Support customers by assessing their needs and recommending appropriate mobility, rehabilitation, accessibility, and home healthcare solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and assist with equipment fittings and product selection.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, purchasing, service department, and management team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory presentation and assist with stock replenishment.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed.
  • Assist management with scheduling, workflow coordination, and achieving departmental goals.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum three years of retail experience.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory, team lead, assistant manager, or similar leadership experience.
  • Experience in medical supplies, mobility equipment, rehabilitation products, home healthcare, or a related healthcare industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional, dependable, customer-focused, and accountable.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, lift chairs, bathroom safety products, compression therapy, seating and positioning, or other rehabilitation equipment.
  • Experience working with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, case managers, long-term care facilities, or other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience with inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing retail teams.
