Full job description

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our medical facility.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and update patient records
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and tidy

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in using office equipment and computer software (PS Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

-Medical office administration diploma or equivalent
