About Us: Capsule Pharmacy is a leading clinical specialty pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We specialize in high-quality medication management, personalized support, and coordinated care for individuals with complex medical needs. Our team is committed to making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-centred healthcare services.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join Capsule Pharmacy in a clinical and operational leadership role. The successful candidate will lead nursing and patient services staff while also providing direct patient care, including IV infusions and injection training.

This role oversees the specialty medication patient journey, including intake, drug access navigation, care coordination, infusion services, and follow-up. The successful candidate will also help develop and improve protocols, training materials, workflows, and operational processes that support safe, consistent, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • · Lead, supervise, and support a small team of nursing and patient services staff, promoting accountability, collaboration, professional development, and a superior patient experience.
  • · Provide clinical and operational direction across patient intake, medication access, scheduling, education, injection training, infusion services, and follow-up.
  • · Administer and monitor IV infusions according to prescribed protocols and patient safety requirements.
  • · Oversee treatment readiness, including patient screening, order verification, medication availability, appointment reminders, and documentation.
  • · Coordinate recurring treatment cycles and maintain timely communication with patients, prescribers, clinics, insurers, support programs, and healthcare partners.
  • · Provide medication education and post-treatment follow-up to assess response, tolerability, side effects, and ongoing support needs.
  • · Ensure adverse events and clinical concerns are promptly identified, documented, escalated, and reported according to applicable requirements.
  • · Develop and update infusion and injection protocols, training documents, workflows, and procedures in collaboration with senior clinical personnel.
  • · Support staff orientation, competency assessment, coaching, and ongoing development.
  • · Maintain infusion-clinic readiness, including emergency supplies, clinical equipment, medication preparation practices, and treatment-related inventory.
  • · Identify opportunities to improve safety, service quality, documentation, efficiency, and patient experience.
  • · Maintain accurate records and uphold patient confidentiality and privacy.

Required Qualifications:

  • · Current Alberta nursing license, CPR certification, and medical liability insurance in good standing.
  • · Previous experience administering and monitoring IV infusions.
  • · Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a healthcare team.
  • · Experience developing or implementing clinical protocols, training materials, procedures, or standardized workflows.
  • · Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • · The ability to balance direct patient care with team leadership and operational oversight.
  • · Experience with specialty medications, injection training, drug access navigation, patient support programs, or infusion clinic operations would be an asset.

Benefits:

  • · Competitive compensation package.
  • · Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • · Supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • · Support and guidance from experienced clinical leaders.
  • · Meaningful work that makes a profound difference in patients’ lives.
  • · Opportunity for work-life balance with a set daytime schedule Monday to Friday
  • If you are a dedicated healthcare professional seeking a unique and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a patient-centred pharmacy practice, we encourage you to apply. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional care and meaningful support to individuals with complex medical needs.
