Full job description

Position Summary

PCCA is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) in London, Ontario to generate qualified sales opportunities and accelerate growth with community compounding pharmacies across Canada. Approximately 70% of the role focuses on proactive outbound prospecting and new business development, 15% on sales team collaboration to advance qualified opportunities, and 15% on supporting existing customer relationships to promote retention and growth. The role uses a consultative, value-based sales approach and includes occasional travel (less than 20%).


Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify new pharmacy customer opportunities through approved channels to generate potential new opportunities.
  • Execute consistent outbound prospecting through phone, email, video and other approved channels to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Research target accounts and identify key decision makers within community pharmacies.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand customer needs, workflows and business objectives.
  • Position PCCA products, education and services using value-based messaging.
  • Qualify leads using established sales criteria and communicate leads to Territory Managers for further development.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers on follow-up activities, strategic account plans and opportunity progression.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, activity notes and forecasts.
  • Support existing customer accounts through proactive outreach, product information, account follow-up and identification of growth opportunities.
  • Promote educational events, new products and services to prospective and existing customers.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, annual training and special projects as assigned.
  • Occasional travel within Canada for customer meetings and company events (typically less than 20%).
  • Assist with related special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of business development, inside sales, account management or consultative B2B sales experience.
  • Experience prospecting new customers preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organization, resilience and time management.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device or pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • French language skills are an asset.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Formal Sales Training, an asset

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional travel and attendance at customer meetings and trade shows
  • Perform the essential physical duties of the role, including safely lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving materials and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Load, unload, transport, assemble, position, and dismantle trade show booths, displays, signage, and related event equipment.
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods during event setup, operation, and teardown.
  • Transport materials and equipment between vehicles and business locations, which may require walking moderate distances within convention centres, hotels, pharmacies, meeting facilities, and other event venues.
