The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of Health Care providers that will be working in the home and community care setting. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a passion for talent marketing and managing positive employee and community relationships. This position is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining the best candidateswhile growing a strong talent pipeline. This position is accountable for recruiting hourly, casual, and full-time employees in all roles inherent to home care. The successful candidate will collaborate with department managers regularly in proactively identifying future hiring needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist should also be able to identify candidates using various recruitment sources, such as print media, social media, community relations, employee referrals, etc.

Accountabilities

• Create a recruitment strategy to support all staffing needs for the resort (including immigration strategies)
• Research and recommend external recruitment advertising strategy including establishing and maintaining an appropriate network of recruitment and community partners
• Be the point of contact for recruitment vendors, external agencies, employment services, local colleges, and universities
• Work with all department leaders to understand current and future departmental staffing requirements and provide reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Complete and post job descriptions, track candidate applications, and maintain recruitment databases (Indeed, Hcareers, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Coordinate interview process
• Complete conditional offers with candidates and coordinate background checks and references
• Responsible for offering candidates, completing offer letters, and sending new hire paperwork
• Organize recruitment events
• Liaise and coordinate with universities and colleges to promote employment opportunities
• Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
• Follow industry trends and research new recruitment initiatives
• Conduct new hire orientations: implement/coordinate new employee introductions
• Orient new personnel with respect to employment package
• Welcome and acknowledge every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests’ names when possible
• Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
• Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
• Previous Home Care experience is preferred
• Total commitment to discretion and tact in dealing with confidential information

Qualifications

• Minimum post-secondary education acquirement
• Must be advance level is MS office Suite and Outlook
• Strong time management skills, confidentiality and professionalism
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to work independently and work effectively within a team environment
• Interest in continuous learning – high energy and focused
