Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team in Abbotsford. If you are a motivated self-starter who thrives under pressure, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys supporting both patients and the dental team, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and confirm appointments
  • Maintain and update patient records and charts
  • Process billing and insurance claims
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues with patience and care
  • Ensure the reception area and patient records are organized and up-to-date
  • Occasional chairside assistance is required
  • Ensure smooth communication between patients, dental staff, and management

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a dental office or relevant field (applications without experience will not be considered)
  • Experience with using ClearDent practice management software is an asset
  • Availability:
  • This is a full time, permanent position. We are a weekday-only practice, with no weekends required. Evening shifts are required on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
  • References: A minimum of two professional or work references is required for consideration.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable with updating and maintaining patient charts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone manner and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet

Compensation:

  • Pay is based on experience and skills
