Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our dental office by providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and coordinating appointments. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages efficiently
  • Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using Dentrix
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while maintaining accurate calendar records
  • Collect and process payments, co-pays, and insurance claims with attention to detail
  • Maintain organized front desk area, ensuring all forms and documentation are readily accessible
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry within electronic medical records systems
  • Coordinate with dental team members to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow

Skills

  • Proven experience as a dental receptionist
  • Proficiency in Dentrix Software
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care and billing processes
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Experience handling multi-line phone systems with professionalism and efficiency
  • Basic office experience including familiarity with administrative tasks like filing, scheduling, and record keeping
