Join Our Established Dental Practice

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced Dental Receptionist to join our established dental practice. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and confident working in a busy dental office while providing exceptional service to every patient.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. You will be responsible for the front desk tasks, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, handling payments and insurance inquiries, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome patients to the practice.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist patients with registration and dental history forms.
  • Prepare patient charts and daily schedules for the dental team.
  • Maintain and update accurate patient records, including treatment and procedure information.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide appointment reminders.
  • Answer patient questions in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Communicate with insurance providers regarding coverage, co-payments, and patient benefits.
  • Verify payment methods and process patient payments.
  • Prepare and provide billing statements as required.
  • Coordinate referrals to dental specialists when necessary.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls using excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception and waiting area.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, faxing, and data entry.
  • Work closely with the dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team to ensure an efficient patient flow and positive patient experience.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred.
  • Experience using Dentrix dental practice management software is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and general dental office procedures.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Professional and confident communication skills, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy practice environment.
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Dental or medical office administration training is an asset.

Regular Hours: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:15 PM
Saturday: 8:45 AM–5:15 PM
Closed on long weekends

July & August: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:15 PM

MONDAY 8:45 AM–5:15 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$34.00 per hour
