Job Summary

Join our expanding and dynamic team as a Receptionist / Medical Office Assistant in our state of the art facility! The ideal candidate will present themselves professionally, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have computer skills and have a proven track record of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

· Work up patients, perform histories and manage the electronic medical record

· Perform diagnostic testing using the latest, state of the art ophthalmic equipment

· Ensure safe operation of the clinic and equiptment within clinic

· Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients by following standard operating procedures

· Counsel patients by providing information regarding treatment, use of drops and drug

· Open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

· PSW, BSc., Medical Assistant Diploma, Health Sciences encouraged to apply

· Excellent customer service, organizational and multi-tasking skills are needed.

· Conversationalist who knows how to listen and is friendly, thoughtful, able to put others at ease, can respond promptly to patient needs, and find solutions.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, works well under pressure

· Must work as a team player.

· Takes direction well.

· Bilingualism would be a strong asset.

We are a high tech office with state of the art diagnostic ophthalmic equipment - candidates with technical aptitude and interest will receive training which may allow them to expand their responsibilities and provide an opportunity for advancement. The office is fast-paced and dynamic with a friendly and supportive team.
