Full job description

Pocketpills is Canada's leading virtual care platform and online pharmacy, making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and convenient for Canadians. Serving over 800,000 members across the country, we combine technology with compassionate care to provide clinical care, simplify medication management, connect patients with licensed healthcare providers, and improve health outcomes.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Product Manager, Clinical Products & Services to lead the product requirement, development, and execution of the technology and service experiences that power Pocketpills' clinical offerings.
At Pocketpills, our products power virtual care, pharmacy services, and clinical operations across Canada. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and operational excellence, ensuring we build scalable, patient-centric solutions that create meaningful outcomes.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity, influences without authority, and can translate complex clinical workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
Build and scale Pocketpills’ clinical products and services across pharmacy, telehealth, treatment programs, renewals, adherence, and member care.
This is a non-practising, non-clinical role. It does not involve diagnosing patients, prescribing medications, or delivering direct patient care. Instead, you will apply your clinical expertise to design and improve scalable virtual care treatments and services that enhance the experience of patients, providers, and healthcare operations across Canada. This role is ideal for trained physicians or other clinically trained professionals who are passionate about shaping the future of healthcare through technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead product discovery for clinical and pharmacy workflows by identifying opportunities to improve the patient, provider, and operational experience.
  • Translate clinical service needs into clear product requirements, user stories, workflow designs, acceptance criteria, and launch plans.
  • Partner closely with physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, care teams, Engineering, Design, Data, Compliance, and Operations to deliver high-impact product initiatives.
  • Design and optimize workflows across the care journey, including clinical intake, prescription processing, renewals, follow-ups, medication adherence, and patient education.
  • Support the launch of new clinical programs and treatment categories by defining scalable product experiences and operational processes.
  • Define and continuously improve clinical safety checks, escalation pathways, quality assurance processes, and operational metrics.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to improve activation, conversion, service-level agreements (SLAs), retention, clinical efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-enabled clinical and operational tools, ensuring they are implemented safely, responsibly, and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Prioritize initiatives by balancing patient impact, clinical quality, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure products meet regulatory, privacy, and clinical quality standards while delivering exceptional user experiences.
What We're Looking For:
  • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, DO, or equivalent) or another relevant clinical qualification .
  • Internationally trained physicians and other internationally educated healthcare professionals are welcome to apply.
  • As this is a non-practising, non-clinical role, Canadian clinical licensure is not required for this position.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient care journeys, and healthcare delivery.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Pharmacy, Compliance, and Data teams.
  • Strong physician-first mindset, with the ability to deeply understand clinical workflows and create simple, intuitive, and exceptional product experiences for physicians.
  • Experience in health technology, virtual care, online pharmacy, clinical operations, EMR/EHR systems, or digital health is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous product management experience is an asset but not required. We welcome candidates with strong clinical expertise, design thinking, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology.
Benefits:
Join our team and enjoy a benefits package designed to support your health and well-being, including dental and vision care, as well as extended health care coverage. We provide disability insurance for added security and life insurance to protect your loved ones. To promote work-life balance, you’ll receive paid time off, including vacation days. Additionally, we offer a Group Retirement Savings Plan (GRSP). Experience a workplace that truly cares about you!

The annual compensation is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market .
