Job Summary

We are seeking an individual to join a team of medical administrative assistants that provides clerical assistance to a growing group of physicians. The assistant will be responsible for scheduling appointments, transcribing medical documents, handling phone, fax, email communication. They may also be facilitating the physicians' administrative, educational and research work.

Job Type / Category

This is a permanent full-time position. Our clinic operates is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay is biweekly. There is a monthly amount for health care spending account, RRSP benefit for 3 or more years of service, and three weeks paid vacation. Employees enjoy flexible earned days off every third week. There are 5 days of annual paid sick leave.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have work experience or completed training as a medical admin assistant. Experience with Med Access EMR is an asset.

We are a group of 12 co-located physicians in the Department of Psychiatry, involved in clinical work, education, administration and research.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
