    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
    • Familiarity with dental or medical office software and practice management tools.
    • 4 days per week (3 days: 8-4pm, 1 day: 8- close).
    • 32 hours per week with occasionally 40 hours per week for vacation or staff coverage.

About our Clinic:

At Strathcona Medical Clinic, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients. Our wonderful team of experienced physicians, nurses, and medical office assistants are committed to ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care possible. Some of our physicians also specialize in maternity care.

What we are looking for:

What do we require:

  • MOA certificate from an accredited educational institution or
  • Previous experience as an MOA
  • EMR knowledge of any of the following: Med Access, CHR, Oscar and/or Accuro
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong patient focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE CENTRAL OKANAGAN

Duties

  • Coordinate patient care through the clinic - provide a warm welcome, check in patients, escort patients to exam rooms, and prepare exam rooms for the next patient. Weight patients, take blood pressures, set up for procedures, urine dips, and pregnancy tests.
  • Handle phone inquiries and provide helpful, professional responses in a respectful and efficient manner.
  • Enter accurate patient information into our medical records system, and ensure these records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy guidelines.
  • Assist with medical record management (filing, scanning, organizing documents).
  • Appointment management including schedule and confirm appointments, coordinate patient flow, and manage provider schedules.
  • Coordinate referrals.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate timely and efficient care.

Position:

We have a part time position available 2-3 days per week. 8:30 – 5:00 p.m. (16-24 hrs. week). We are also looking for some full time 4-5 days per week. Week days only.

Wages:

Dependent on experience: $25-$28 per hour to start

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
