Refractive Surgery Centre | British Columbia

Our well-established refractive surgery centre in British Columbia is seeking a dedicated, highly organized, and efficient Head Laser Counsellor to lead the operations of our premier practice. We pride ourselves on a positive workplace culture and are honored to maintain a 4.9-star rating from our patients. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who can work independently to ensure the seamless execution of our laser vision correction and clear lens extraction services.

"We are committed to providing life-changing vision results. We are looking for a leader who shares our passion for excellence, maintains a positive attitude, and thrives in a high-standard clinical environment."

Role Overview

The Head Laser Counsellor acts as the primary operational lead and patient advocate. You will manage the entire patient journey—from initial inquiry and clinical education to surgical scheduling and billing—while ensuring the practice remains in full compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Independent Practice Management: Oversee the daily operations of the refractive and clear lens extraction practice with high efficiency and minimal supervision.

Patient Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries. Use exceptional interpersonal skills to guide patients through their surgical options.

Scheduling & Billing: Manage all surgical bookings, clinical rotations, and practice-related financial transactions and billing.

Regulatory Compliance: Take full responsibility for maintaining all aspects of accreditation with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).

Professional Liaison: Maintain strong relationships and clear communication with referring optometrists and external partners.

Candidate Requirements

Core Competencies: Must be highly organized, efficient, and possess a fundamental understanding of optometry and optics.

Professionalism: A positive attitude and superior interpersonal skills are essential for maintaining our high patient satisfaction standards.

Operational Initiative: Proven ability to work independently and manage complex administrative workflows.

Training Commitment: The successful candidate must be available for a minimum two-month training overlap with the outgoing lead to ensure a comprehensive transition.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation package tailored to experience, including a comprehensive benefits plan and a supportive, professional work environment.

How to Apply

If you are a self-motivated professional looking to take on a leadership role in a top-rated surgical environment, we invite you to apply. Please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience. The identity of the clinic will be shared with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
