Full job description

This is a multifaceted and specialized position that provides overall front end service to the public, and communicates directly with hearing aid manufacturers, and third party insurers. It is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the clinic’s day-to-day administrative and clerical management operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones, following-up with patients in a timely manner, and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Completes and processes paperwork for submission to various agencies for payment, ordering hearing aids, and/or related hearing aid supplies.
  • Performs and maintains file management and corresponding administrative documentation.
  • Trouble shoots on administrative issues and minor hearing aid problems and provides in-house cleaning of hearing aids.
  • Effectively utilizes clinical management database and and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Contribute to a professional and positive work environment by being a team player, and utilizing a solution-orientated approach to problem solving. Maintains professional conduct and appearance.

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate with the elderly, and the hearing impaired
  • Strong data entry skills – and experienced in the use of office related software and databases.
  • Well organized, and high attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, manage and set prioritize competing demands. Able to work independently, yet within a team context
  • Qualifications Preferred:
  • Three years administrative and/or related experience
  • Skills in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding and application of Customer Service values
