We are looking for a vibrant individual, who is a quick thinker and passionate about ocular health. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients while providing administrative support to ensure the smooth day to day operations.

The Medical Administrative Assistant position requires someone who is able to multi-task and handle a variety of situations and responsibilities simultaneously.

At OptoDoc we strive to provide our patients with the best Eye Care and Eye Wear by ensuring they are given the best lens options and helping select Eye Wear they can fall in love with.

Three years of Office experience required. We provide all training for the right candidate. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, room for advancement within our company, as well as education opportunities for the right candidate.

Schedule: Full-Time Permanent, 32-44 Hours per week

Qualifications:

Minimum grade 12 diploma

Secondary education an asset

Customer service experience is an asset

Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment

Previous office experience is an asset

Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills are a must

Previous experience with Microsoft Office programs is an asset

High regard for accuracy and attention to detail

The Successful Candidate will be:

Job Responsibilities include:

Greet and help direct all patients in the clinic

Collect and record accurate information in patient files

Direct billing third party insurance on behalf of patients

Receive and allocate incoming mail, phone calls, and inquires to appropriate staff

Respond to patient inquiries with a high level of professionalism

Collecting payments for services and purchases

Processing incoming and receiving incoming orders

Maintain an organized and clean store front and work area

Report daily to team management
