Full job description

Our Family Practice Clinic in Port Moody, BC is looking for friendly, energetic individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our team!

POSITION BRIEF: 1 FT Position

  • MOA experience is required
  • MOA certificate is required
  • MedAccess experience is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate

MOA RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES; BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Triaging telephone calls confidently and professionally
  • Replying to patient inquiries via emails and phone calls
  • Booking/scheduling appointments
  • Emailing patients' lab requisitions, sick notes, etc.
  • Managing referrals and chart set up in Med Access EMR
  • Greeting patients and escorting them to rooms
  • Scanning / Importing results into patient's charts
  • Third Party requests: Insurance companies, Lawyers, chart transfers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from a recognized MOA program
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good working relationship with their colleagues, office manager and physicians
  • Friendly and kind towards patients
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Wage: $18-24/hr. Wage to be discussed depending on experience.

Expected hours: 40 per week for FT
